Robyne Cottee

Robyne is the principal of Childworks. She has a wealth of experience, having graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy and working in a range of settings, including treating children with autism, motor and co-ordination problems and developmental issues. In addition to her Occupational Therapy qualifications and experience, Robyne has a Master of Business Administration as well as a legal qualifications.
Robyne is committed to a science based, family centred practice, where the best possible interventions are used, based on the quality of research behind them. These interventions are tailored to the child’s needs and the family’s circumstances. Robyne believes parents and carers are an important part of the therapeutic process.

Brianna is the clinical lead therapist and part-owner of Childworks. Bri embodies a commitment to helping children thrive and reach their fullest potential. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
In her years prior to her role as an OT, she worked in a supporting role for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This included 1:1 self care, fine motor, gross motor, social emotional, executive functioning and community participation support for children and their families. Bri works as an assistant ‘Danceability’ teacher on weekends.
Bri’s dedication to continuous learning is evident in her comprehensive training in developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and dysgraphia therapy. By staying informed about the latest developments in her field, Bri ensures that she can provide the most effective interventions for her clients.
She established and facilitates a school readiness programme at Childworks. This programme is tailored with neurodiversity affirming interventions, aiming to assist children and their carers to develop their school readiness and social competencies in a supportive and evidence-based setting.
Bri acknowledges that each child has their own unique set of strengths and capabilities, therefore applies a client-centred approach to all that she does. Her sessions are a combination of client: therapist, and parent: therapist activities. Parents/carers are always welcome and encouraged to take part in therapy sessions where possible.
Bri’s infectious energy and positivity are palpable in all aspects of her work. She infuses her sessions with joy and enthusiasm, creating an environment where children feel empowered to explore and grow. Her mantra, “Practice makes progress,” reflects her belief in the transformative power of persistence and resilience.
