Does your child have some difficulties with handwriting, or are you just looking for something fun for the holidays that will give them a boost when they get back to school? Why not try our school holiday workshop.
Childworks is running a workshop to help Year 1 and Year 2 children (2018) to get a head start on their handwriting for the year. The workshop will be held over 3 days, for 2 hours per day on 22, 23 and 24 of January.
An occupational therapist will run the workshop and supervise all activities. We use sensory- motor and cognitive approaches. Occupational therapists do not teach handwriting, we address underlying skills as well as motor and visual development to help in this area.
The workshop has limited places only so you will need to get in quick. We will be enjoying fun and games around the development of basic handwriting. A small group allows children to develop skills in a relaxed atmosphere.
This is the last week before school starts so the workshop will help your child to prepare for term 1 of 2018.
Children will have a great time and won’t even realise how much their handwriting is improving!
Please contact Childworks if you would like to find out more information about this workshop. We can discuss if your child is likely to benefit and address any questions you may have. Please feel free to give us a call or contact on the contact form which you can fine by clicking the link above.
