Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Childworks requests that families make any cancellation as soon as possible to allow the best chance for other families to be offered that time slot.
  • A deposit may be required to secure a time slot for assessment.
  • Cancellations should be made with at least 24 hours notice, but generally, with as much notice as possible.
  • If your appointment is on a Monday or after a public holiday, notice is required on the previous business day.
  • If 24 hours notice is not provided and no alternative can be found for the time allocated, a late cancellation fee will apply.
  • Where funding bodies do not pay cancellation fees, the family will be responsible for the cancellation fee.
  • The late cancellation fee does not apply in cases of illness or emergency.
  • If more than 2 consecutive cancellations, or more than 3 cancellations within a 3 month period are made, Childworks, may not be able to maintain the regular appointment time for that child. Priority for appointments will be given to regular attendees.
  • Please keep in mind that your child needs consistency. Unscheduled breaks in therapy may be unhelpful to their progress.
  • Text reminders provided by Childworks are sent from an automated system and not a Childworks telephone number. Do not reply to these reminders with any response other than “yes”. This is stated in the text. If you cannot attend an appointment please contact Childworks directly. Responses to reminder texts do not constitute notice.
  • Please enter appointment times in your calendar or diary and do not rely on text or email reminders.
  • Failure of a text or email reminder does not constitute notice.
